E alla fine…Roma

And finally…Rome

We left off with Milan that seemed almost like a dream but was reality. Well, it's not over! Because just a month later (A MONTH!), the invitation to Rome arrived. But not in any context, no. We're talking about the Rome Film Fest 2023! It all seemed so absurd again, but it was really happening.

I still remember the train ride, suitcases and of course bags in hand (literally) where I was trying to imagine it all. How should I dress? How should I behave? But above all, what would it be like to see an entire fashion show with my creations? I still couldn't believe it.

The day before I was strangely calm, which is strange knowing me. It didn't last long. Just a few hours before arriving at the location, I felt like I was going crazy. But now I was there and I couldn't let this opportunity slip away.

We arrived in front of this huge door behind which was hidden the location chosen for the event. When I entered, I was greeted by the same frenzy that I had found in Milan; some were sitting in the make-up room, people jumping from one place to another, some were finishing the last details because there was really very little left until everything began. Then they told me that I could already go up to see the terrace used for the event. I went up. The location was suggestive to say the least. Not only was there a crazy view of the entire city, but in the background there was even the dome of St. Peter's. At that point, however, another worry came over me. I hoped it wouldn't rain.

Between fashion show rehearsals, lights and finishing touches, it was finally about to start. The first model came out, long dress and bag in hand. It was really happening. From there, a succession of girls with my creations on the catwalk. I tried to scrutinize the expressions on the faces of those watching in the front row but I was too focused on the fashion show. I still couldn't believe it was happening. I don't know what my expression was at that moment but it certainly expressed a lot of happiness. It seemed to end in a flash but I know it wasn't, it was just my perception because I was too prey to emotions.

The show was over. And right after I had the chance to exchange a few words with some of the people there, making new acquaintances, which I always like, especially when I travel. And the great thing was that they wanted to know. About me, the brand and my story. It was a magical evening, in every sense.

Oh, and the rain didn't stop until AFTER the show!
